Bending-resistant concrete or modulus of rupture

Characteristics

  • This concrete provides good service and durability for pavements due to its structural properties.
  • Has a longer useful life than concrete designed for compression.
  • It has a greater resistance to wear caused by the loads that are presented on the slab.

Flexural Resistant Concrete or better known as Modulus of Rupture (MR), is the ideal concrete for the most common load conditions in the same concrete structure supported on ground. It has been designed to meet the structural demands of urban pavements and heavy traffic locations.

  • Urban pavements.
  • Air and land traffic terminals.
  • Maneuver patios.
  • Pavements for housing.
  • Industrial floors.
  • Streets.
  • Platforms.
  • Parking lots.
  • Roads.
  • Ports
  • Airport runways and platforms.
  • Designed to withstand the structural demands that are presented in pavements, it complies satisfactorily, and provides good performance throughout its useful life.
  • Has a longer service life than compression-engineered concrete, as it is designed to resist compression and tension stresses that result from slab bending.
  • More resistant to the stresses caused by the bending of the slabs produced by changes in temperature.
  • It has greater resistance to wear due to the passage of vehicles since, subjecting the slab to dynamic loads, the internal bending forces in a concrete slab are closer to its ultimate resistance to bending (MR), than the stresses internal compression against its ultimate resistance to compression (f’c).
  • Slump from 10cm, respecting the variations indicated by the NMX-C-155 standard.
  • Concretes are designed to be pumped or for direct draft, as required.
  • Variable volumetric weight from 2,250 to 2,300 kg / m3.
  • Resistant to bending after 28 days.
  • Maximum air content of 2%.
  • Can be used with polypropylene fiber, which significantly reduces plastic cracking, increases impact resistance and has greater durability.

Available in a charge of 35, 38, 40, 42, 45 and 50 kg / cm2.

It is offered in different strength development values:

  • Normal: Reaches design strength at 28 days.
  • Fast: Reaches design strength in 3, 7 or 14 days.

When placing your order, clearly indicate the following information.

When placing your order, clearly indicate the following information:

  • Use that will give to the concrete
  • Resistance and slump that it requires.
  • The size of gravel required, considering the specific specifications of the use of concrete.
  • Where appropriate, any other special characteristics of the concrete.
  • Indicate if it is to be installed with a pump or direct discharge from the truck gutter.
  • Total volume and frequency you want trucks to arrive.

Address of the work, including names of the streets between which it is located and the postal code.

Available in quantities according to the client’s needs, in the designated location for its discharge on site with gutter, or by means of pumping directly to the element, either vertical and / or horizontal.
